lightheadedness and work
1 Replies

Hi all,
I am new to this forum. I have had fibromyalgia for many years. I use to work as a barber. I left the profession as I found standing made me feel like I was losing my balance. I experienced tunnel vison while cutting hair. It made me feel like passing out. I worked under flourescent lights which sends me into tunnel vision mode. Sometimes listening to conversation seemed foggy, far away, like I had to shake my head to get myself back somehow. Has anyone else experienced this while standing on their feet or just in general? Any suggestions on employment that would be least taxing on a person with fybromyalgia?

Yes, I have experienced this as well, lightheaded and feeling like you loose your vision or focus for a while. Also the sensation of conversation feeling foggy or far away and have to refocus to get back into regular mode. The lightheadedness has been happening to me more frequent, I am trying to find out what could be causing this, I am still unsure. I have difficulty finding the right word sometimes when I speak to people as well and need to pay extra attention when I am being told something, I forget very easily. Sometimes I do things that I would have never done normally like forgeting to close my car door, I notice that I need to write things that I really want to get done that way I don't forget.
