leg, finger & neck cramping

Is anyone having these symptom with fibro? Lately, I'm off the wall with severe leg cramps. It usually starts after 6PM with my fingers cramping, then it moves to my legs. If I yawn, my neck muscles lock. Is there anything one can do? I end up in a hot shower 2AM, 4AM, etc.

Are you able to do any gentle stretching during the day? I have a regimen in the morning and night that really helps with stiff joints.

If you're able, I'd suggest seeing a good physical therapist to help design a program that'll help and might be able to prevent cramps. If not, Tai Chi is very gentle and is something I can usually do even on my worst days. There are some nice beginner DVDs out there, and I use the David Carradine AM/PM one.

If prevention doesn't help, it might not be a bad idea to get it checked out to be safe. Good luck and let us know.

Throughout my day, parts of my body will feel like they are locked in a vise clamp and very tightly. Needless to say, it hurts like hell. I'm on klonopin for RLS and maybe that might help you, but I would talk to your doc.
