leg cramps and pain on one side of the body

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia for the last four years. I have recently been having strong leg cramps and horriable pain in my right leg. Is this normal to have pain only on one side?

Hi,
I feel for you. Yes it is common to have tender poits on one side of your body or another. I would wake up out of a sound sleep and have such pain in my right hip especially if I layed to long on one side. I take 400 mg of ibuprofen before I go to bed and it seems to help some. It is very painful. I also would get very sharp pains in my feet. This is a common complaint I guess. This disease likes to travel. Ask your doctor if there is something you can take to calm it down. My doctor suggested a sleeping pill. I like the ibuprofen a lot better. Hope this helps.
