is there a light at the end of the tunnel

Ann-Marie - September 30

Hi Frances...I dont know if the pain will ever go away but my light at the end of the tunnl came in the form of seeing a clinical psychologist who listened for the first time to how the condition made me feel. She has helped improve my confidence. I was referred through the pain clinic at my local hospital 9I'm from UK). It must be scary being newly diagnosed but please continue to visit this form. I find it really helps when you know you are not alone. Take Care XX

The light lies within yourself. We may be in pain but its what you choose to focus on that is the light. Our children, our family, our life outside of the pain. Not saying its not hard but after being diagnosed 7 years ago and experiencing daily pain for all 7 of them, I've been learning to find the light, not just expect it. Keep your chin up. Life is wonderful even when you are in pain.

I think if doctors would prescribe the right amount of pain relievers none of us should be in this pain. The sooner they find out that dealing with the pain puts stress on us which enhances the symptoms of the fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndromes and also the chronic fatigue syndrome. If your in pain you do not get the rest you need there by again running in that visciuos circle and more doctor visits. The light is finding the right doctor who understands and acknowledges the pain and suffering and sleepless nights that most of us deal with day in and day out. Maybe we should all approach our doctors and discuss this with them. Hugs to everyone. :)smile
