Joints locking up

Can Fibromyalgia cause loss of shoulder joint mobility? My left arm can only go out from my side about 45 degrees and the right cannot quite come up to shoulder level. This has come on quickly. It began in Jan. 08. Now I can only sleep on my back with my arms on my chest and my hands under my chin because of the shoulder pain. Can this be reversed? Or will it become worse? Thank you for your responses.

Have you been examined by an orthopedic specialist? One of the "perks" of FMS is bursitis which will impede the movement in your shoulders because of the swelling of the bursa. I urge you to go an see someone about this problem. I have bursitis in both hips and shoulders. It can get much worse without treatment and possibly physical therapy. Take care.
