I was paralyzed as a child

Chris Barager - January 5

I suffered a traumatic brain injury as a child and was paralyzed for several months. I am now in my mid 30's and I am experiencing almost all symptoms of FMS. I have suffered to a degree from these symptoms since my muscles first awoke after the coma and paralysis. when I was 11 years old. At this time I donot have medical insueance but will soon. If I am diagnosed with FMS will this become a preexisting condition and exclude me from insurance coverage.

Hi Chris: That is possible for this to be a pre-existing condition but some companies will put you on after six months to a year. If you have had previous coverage then your insurance company will send you a statement to show that you have been being treated for this condition, otherwise call them and find out their policy.
