OK, that's it, I have enough, remember me, so adamant to working part time, well girls, I have had enough! I can't do it, I keep missing because of infection of this or that. This past week, I have phneumonia, and a sinus infection. Another week off, every few weeks something happens and I miss. So tired. You girls told me...Now where do I go from here I'm not sure, I guess waiting period for insurance is long, so not sure what to do.

I'm trying to get a part-time job right now. Don't really know what job I can do with pain and social anxiety...

axxie - I'm so sorry to hear your news. I am sure you are feeling really down about your situation. You certainly can not say that you didn't try. Personally, I'm looking forward to having you back on the forum as a regular contributor. There are plenty of other ways to feel productive than going to work every day. This site is one of them. Feel better and keep in touch.

Hey Axxie, you should be so proud of the effort and determination it took you to go back to work. I know how empty and scary you can feel after leaving work, but as Fantod has mentioned there are so many other ways to feel useful. I can relate as I've been out of work for two years now and I know how lost I felt at first, it's a temporary feeling.
Getting approved for Cpp disability can be time consuming and a little daunting. I'm still waiting for my tribunal and hoping that I'll finally start receiving some aid. If you have any questions regarding this let me know.
Things will get better, your health is the most important.
Take care, Patty:)

I'm with you, Axxie....I took time off from work and am not going to be able to go back. I am not sure how I am going to support myself, get meds, pay for doctors, etc.....It is a tough decision, and if you are like me, you feel terrible about it, but I just have to pray that things will work out ok.

I'm going back to work tomorrow and see if there's a way for me to work from home. If not then I can also take the summer off and then look at trying to return to work, if not then I shall have no choice.

I'm looking at insurance to see what it takes to get some help.

Hey Axxie, I am adamant about working too-I would go crazy! However, I believe my pain level might be lower than some of you. But I understand where you are coming from. I work for disability. I know how long and tricky and can be to apply and then appeal if refused at first. Also there is ODSP for ontario resident, it is quicker than CPP and they top you up after you start receiving CPP. It's the ontario disability support program.
Hoped it helped!

Yeah Myriam I'm on ODSP not CPP. I think I'm on it for life. I get drug insurance with it unlike my Aunt whos on CPP.
