Hi everyone. I am looking for some help. I have not been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, but there is something wrong with me, and I hoping someone out there can give me some answers. I have several symtoms, and my doctors have settled on a diagnos of intercystial cystitis..however, my medication isn't working, and I still feel bad. Here is a list of my symtoms:
Fatigue - even when I get sufficient sleep
Pain - sometimes extreme in my bladder/pelvic region
Feeling dizzy/vertigo. I have gone to the doctor several times over the past year with this sensation. Sometimes it is so bad that I can't eat
Stomach pain / IBS.
Does anybody think this could be fibromyalgia? I am just looking for some guidance and help. Thank you all for your time!

Of course, there's no way any of us could tell you for sure what's wrong. It doesn't sound like you have most of the symptoms I have or those of my other friends with fibro. The fatigue, dizziness, and IBS definitely line up. But to get a diagnosis of fibromyalgia you have to have widespread pain in all four quadrants of your body for at least three months, and a certain number of tender trigger points. That's the definition anyway. If the pain is not in you muscles or joints, but is in the pelvic region, it does sound like it's something internal. But if you aren't getting relief, or feel uncomfortable with your diagnosis, I would get a second opinion. Sever pain in that area could be serious, and you wouldn't want to overlook anything.
