Hypnosis Article

Hello. I am a hypnotherapist and read that article on hypnotherapy and fibromyalgia. First, there are no licensed hypnotherapists. It is kept that way on purpose. However, because some people are running around charging people without any real training, you can check for what school the hypnotherapist went to. There is only one acredited hypnotherapy school in the United States. You can check to see what Hypnotherapy Union they belong to (which is where we get certified) and other organizations such as the American Hypnosis Association. Also the article states not everyone can be hypnotized. That is also untrue. It is a natural state that all people do go into. You must go through that stste before you can fall asleep (that is why it is bad to watch negative programming before bed). Have you ever driven past your exit on the freeway without realizing it? That is environmental hypnosis. Many people are already in hypnosis and need to be dehypnotized. When people get overwhelmed our bodies naturally go into hypnotic state as a protection (under the fight/flight principle). It does work for fibromyalgia, though there are no such things as magic wands. I guess I just wanted to clear that up. There are too many myths about hypnotherapy and it really can work for fibromyalgia clients. So, if you are considering giving it a try, I truly recommend it.
