I've only just discovered this site and was just wondering if anybody else was hungry all the time. when i first started to feel ill, i lost a load of weight (about 5 stone), where beforei felt ill i put on loads of weight with no apparent cause. now i am hungry all the time and my weight doesn't seem to go up. has this happened to anyone else. i have only just been diagnosed, and it took about 4 years.

Rachelann have you started any new medications at all? This may have an effect because some of them can make you crave sweets something awful!

I used to be hungry all the time- or loose my appetite for some time. I got diagnosed with bulimia, but it might just have been FMS. What helps me now is to eat every so often some fibre food. Like bread, crisp bread or other items with high fibre content. And drinking enough. And enjoy the chance to eat often. LOL

If I wait a long time between meals, when I finally eat, it is as if I can't get enough and I will continue to feel hungry for several hours. I try to drink water or eat something healthy, but sometimes it seems like all I want is a big bowl of ice cream or something unhealthy like potato chips. If I eat small snacks throughout the day and make sure I get a little protein, this usually doesn't happen. could this by hyperglycemia?

Me too! I have been craving chocolate cake or greasy things like french fries with mayonaise all the time. I wash them down with ginger tea! (just kidding)

Yes, I have experienced the constant hunger . Do you have a white coating on your tongue? When was the last time that you took antibiotics?
