help. I work with children with AutismI love my job but am struggling. I manage in the morning but by lunchtime the fatigue is overwhelming. I really struggle through the afternoon. I spoke to my manager but she says that if I can't manage my job she will give me a desk job. I would be very unhappy working at a desk all day as I really love my work with the children. I have considered dropping a day but cannot financially manage as I am single so have no other income coming into the house.

If you are succumbing to fatigue ask your doctor about getting a sleep aid for the night and a mild stimulant like Nuvigil to keep you awake during the day.

Have you investigated the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)? Take care.

Do you live in the United states? If so, you may want to research the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to find what measures your employers are required to take to help you keep your job.

By law in the States, Canada and UK, your employer has to make arrangements for you. It's not the supervisor who decides what it can give you and what you are entitled to. If the company is small, then you take up the matter with disability group in the government. This goes for Canada and UK or any civilized country.

I hope this will help you
