Hot Rock Massages and Fibro
0 Replies
VeryTiredPanda - June 1

Hi all!
I have been battling the pain of hot rock pain and really have found little to no relief short of pain medication that is only temporary at best, if I am able to receive it at all. I have tried everything from hot baths, to sprays over the counter, to aroma therapy, to Lyrica that seems to provide little relief.

Recently I took the suggested of my loved one and went to try and get massage therapy. I started with the simply half hour massage that was okay and provided some relief that was small at best. I then progressed to the hour and a half massage therapy that began to cause greater relief as well. But the best relief of all came when I started to get the hot rock massages every other week.

This has caused me a great deal of relief as well as a great peace of mind. I feel that while this is such a tricky, and individual disease, the massage has helped me immensely and it is not just physically as well as mentally. Most of the therapists are wonderful about asking about the acceptable pressure and will do all they can to make it relaxing, but most importantly comfortably, for you.

I choose to do this every two weeks simply because the relief eases off in about this amount of time but give or take it can be longer or shorter. I would really suggest that if you are having pain issues to at least try something like this to elevate the pain if only for a short time. Let me know what you think about it! Hope it helps you like it did for me.
