Horrible Headaches
1 Replies
amscanlon - March 3

My PCP has told me that he thinks I have fibromyalgia and I have been on Cymbalta for 4 weeks now with no relief.

One of my extreme symptoms is perpetual headaches. I have had a headache pretty much everyday for about 4 months now. Its just that sometimes the headaches are less painful. Ibuprofen and Aleve barely work. They might make the headache less worse for about an hour or so. I don't want to be continually taking pills.

My headaches usually always occur in my temples and the lower part of my neck. The pain is so intense at times that I am in tears.

Does anyone have any ideas for relief for me? Is anyone having this problem? Does anyone have anything that has worked for their headaches?

I have been eliminating all sorts of foods to see if something is triggering them and I just can't figure it out. I haven't been eating chocolate, caffeine, sugar, dairy, gluten, artificial flavors or ingredients. I still continue to get them no matter what I try.

Any suggestions?

I have had Fibro for seven years. I also have constant headaches/migraines. My pain is similiar to yours. I am seeing a Neurologist for Pain Management and getting Trigger Point Injections. This does help with the headaches.
