Headaches--
1 Replies
concerned wife - March 20

Hi Everyone, my husband is still going for additional tests and we are seeking additional opinions but our family doctor confirmed our suspicions that he has FMS and we are trying to get help for him. His headaches are brutal... and constant. There is never a day without a headache, sometimes just a nagging pain most times so severe that the meds don't even alleviate the pain. Does anyone else out there suffer with headaches along with all the other symptoms.... and any suggestions on how I can help him? The headaches affect him so that he doesn't even want to get up. Thanks everyone!

Has your husband been elvaluated for TMD - it used to be called TMJ? This is a dental issue that can cause severe headaches. He may be clenching or grinding his teeth without being aware of it. Any existing dental problems like teeth with cavities etc can also cause severe headaches. I would suggest that you find a dentist that specializes in TMD and have him evaluated to rule this out as a cause. Also, is he on a lot of medication? It could be a rebound headache from taking a lot of medication to control them and other health issues. There may be a clinic in your area that specializes in headaches and treatment. Have a look around the internet to see what you can find. I wish you both better days ahead. Take care.
