I was diagnoised with Fibro five years ago. What is the Guaifenesin Protocol.

Guai Protocol is a fairly new treatment of FM. The way I understand it you take a certain dosage of guai every day and remove all plant based and sacilycic acid products from your life. Otherwise, the guai doesn't work well. For more info, check out http://www.guaidoc.com/GuaiProtocol.htm. I looked into it myself but find it much too restrictive. I was diagnosed a year and a half ago. I've been seeing a rheumatologist who only told me to take certain pills and "live with it." I found a wonderful osteopathic doctor here in Louisville. A local TV station did a special on FM and interviewed him. He has FM as well. He took me off the anti-inflammatory the rheumatologist gave me because it was giving me an ulcer. I am now on 2 dietary supplements - one to straighten out my digestive system and one to help me sleep. I go next week for a Myer's Cocktail - IV of vitamins and he says I will feel 100% better after one treatment. Read up on the guai protocol; maybe it would be good for me. But I just think it's too restrictive. Good luck!
