Gall stones

Hi everyone. I'm just out of hospital after having gall stones removed and also my gall bladder. I have never experienced such pain in my life. I can manage with pain in my stomach but the pain in the right side of my body up to my shoulder is excruciating.I read it is from the air the surgeon puts in when operating. I'm just wondering if anyone has had this done and maybe give me some advice, I would be very grateful. thank you

You don't say how long ago you had your surgery -- usually you are given some pain meds for normal post-surgery pain. Perhaps they forgot to do this?

JMO, but if your pain is excruciating, something could be wrong, and you need to go see a dr. ASAP! Sometimes mistakes are made during surgery or infections set in - please get it checked out immediately.

Thank u for your reply. I had it done on Wednesday.I am taking Tramadol and paracetamol. The pain has lessened a wee bit now so hopefully I'm on the mend.If it gets bad again I will ring the doctor. thanks again ;-)

Hope you recover quickly! And very glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. But please, if you hurt really badly, check in with your doctor. (Won't hurt to just check in to make sure you are OK!)
