Freedom From Fibromyalgia

lily - August 22

I spent 18 months seeing 25 doctors, took pain killers, muscle relaxants, sleep meds, anti-depressant, Xanax and kept getting worse. Was unable to sleep, to sit or walk without extremem pain. Quit my job, lost my fiance, ended up hospitalized for severe depression.

Then I got this book, followed it religiously. Now I'm off all medication, quit seeing all doctors, am pain free, sleeping again and have my life back!!!

please be reminded. this is a site where people are encouraged to share their experiences. that includes dr's apts, books, symptoms, feeling questions etc... I have actually read this book (its quite popular in the UK) it didn't cure me either, but that doesn't mean we should attack everyone who has something to say we don't agree with. lets stop attacking one another PLEASE!!!

If you ignore the trolls they will go away. Let them post their book experience, but if you don't respond, you won't incite them.

just because someone mentions a book they have read doesnt make them a troll. thats pretty rude. when are people going to get back to be nice again, I wonder?

I have read that Nancy selfridge book to. Didnt really do much for me in all honesty. I think a better one is Dr. Sarnos Mindbody perscription. Alot of very interesting and valid fibro stuff in there.
Having read that book i myself can say that stress is the biggest contributing cause for fibro, at least for me.Built up stress, poor sleep all seems to do it for me.

How many of you are fine or 85% better on holidays?

I read From Fatigued to Fantastic from by Jacob Teitelbaum and am also seeing an acupuncturist/homeopathic doctor that went to his conference earlier in the year. Much of his book makes since and tests my regular doctor refused to run showed high yeast growth and many other hormones and neurotransmitters out of whack. I am now on a yeast and sugar free diet for a couple of months and will also begin thyroid meds even though my regular doctor told me there wasn't a problem. So far, this natural approach is working. I am off of the antidepressant and pain meds my regualr doctor prescribed and my symptoms are pretty manageable.
