Hi,

I'm a newbie and came across you thread re: book for Fibromyalgia. Do you know anything about the following book: The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief? Have you seen this book? Have you read it? Thanks, Oksana

Hi Oksana,, I fairly new to this board myself and I really like it. Y ou can learn so much from our fibro friends.
As about the book,I don't know but I am kind of interested about it myself.
welcome and come again.

Hi Oksana,

No I have not seen or read that book, but the book I refferenced deals in depth with Chronic Myofasial Pain (which is trigger point pain.
I am male, so my trigger points are much less noticable, than the overall fibromyalgia symptoms, so my focus has been there.
It does explain that trigger points effect women much more than men.
My Rhumy told me about the book, I spoke of and it has been a wonderful refference to me. I know at some point I will look for other information, but this book is much to digest.
I am also a type 1 diabetic and a cancer survivor and all this keeps me overwhelmed most of the time.
