Hi daz - yes, men can get fibromyalgia symptoms too. There are lots of theories why more women than men have fibro - some people think that because fibromyalgia is often looked at as "just in your head," women are more susceptible to getting diagnosed. Men usually are taken more seriously, and get a more thorough workup to look for other diseases.

But yes, men can have the symptoms too. Sorry to hear you are suffering with so much pain. Have you talked to a doctor about it yet?

hi january, thanx for your reply.my doctor sent me for blood tests 6weeks ago wen i started having the leg pain, and found i have high uric acid levels.he has put me on tablets to get the levels down, and got to go back in 4wks time to see if it has come down,if it has come down but i still have pain then he will look at other possibilitys including fibromyalgia.

Hi daz. Isn't high uric acid linked with gout? I hope the tablets help get your levels down, maybe that will resolve the pain. Let us know how you are doing with it and good luck to you. Hope you feel better soon.

Might be there is a part of the knee that is not in its proper position.
