Flector Patch for pain
3 Replies

Just put my first one on tonite and I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to "kick in". Thanks!

It depends on gthe severity of the pain and duration. I try to put one on at the first indication my back is going to have a tantrum.
I usually notice things easing off in an hour.

In your case, it may take longer to work or more than one patch to break the pain cycle. Hopefully, it will help but you need to be proactive and slap one on before things get really bad. Good luck and I hope that you are able to get some sleep.

Thank you so very very much Fantod!! It was your suggestion that made me try this patch. I'm feeling a bit of relief and it's been on for 5 hours now, so I think I'm heading in the right direction thanks to you :)

Glad I could help. Have you looked into myofascial pain as a source of your discomfort? Are you aware of grinding or clenching your teeth at night? You may want to consider being evaluated by a dentist who specializes in TMJ to see if you need a bite splint to wear at night. I've worn one for years now - bitten through more than one too. Myofascial pain does affect the neck, shoulders, arms and balance. Think of your head as a gyroscope. When it is out of wack everything else follows. I hope that you are getting some sleep now. Take care.
