Fibromyalgia, Menopause and HRT

Is there a connection between estrogen & progresterone (HRT drugs) and fibromyalgia? I have recently (gradually) gone off these medications as well as my antidepressant and now appear to have all the symptoms of fibromyalgia.

The rheumotoligist that I started this week wants me to have my homones tested. He thought maybe HRT would help with the pain of fibro. Antidepressants are usually prescribed for fibro. I was taking them and every time I stopped I started aching everywhere. I told the doctor I didn't know if I was crying because of the pain or depression. She said fibro is treated with antidepressants and I needed to stay on them.

Fibromyalgia puts the body out of balance and in most cases your body runs on hormones and neurotransmitters.
