Hi Jessica: Fibromyalgia means in laymans terms sore muscles and your body is made up of muscles. Every system is muscle. Our bodies are a work of creation. We have electric impulses, messengers and senders and signals that tells parts of our bodies what to do. We have muscles that work on there own and muscle that work when we tell them too. The human body is amazing and it's mysterious because doctors to not know all of what goes on in the body. They are still practicing and I'm glad they are because we are getting some answers on how to treat our bodies smartly, to keep it healthy. When our bodies are sick and unbalanced our messengers and senders get confused and forget what they are suppose to do and that is when medicine comes in. Medicine replenishes what our bodies lack in order to keep the balance. If it's off just a little you know it because you hurt, you feel pain and that is why Fibromyalgia affects so many functions of the body. I hope this helps in understanding a little bit because the body is quite remarkable. Are you newly diagnosed?
