Fibro for the Holidays
2 Replies
barbar - November 15

The holidays are upon us and for 'fibros' (people with FMS) this can be a terrible time. There's a lot of cooking, cleaning and sharing going on, which for us, means a lot of sweat and back-breaking work. In fact, I've found that the work isn't worth the reward. I'm a fabulous cook and used to be an incredible hostess but I had to stop when it got to the point I hurt too much from the preparation (not to mention the looming clean-up) to enjoy the events. As for shopping, if it's not online, it's not happening. All of this is not to mention a plethora of other saddnesses. So, I thought our forum could provide some good advice and support for each other to get us through these difficult times. So, guys.... HAVE AT IT!

Oh sooooo true barbar. I'll be logging on for sure. You guys in the USA have back to back holidays with thanksgiving this month. Don't know how you do it.

I think it's kind of like getting older, we just have to admit we can't do all the things we used to do. Asking for help or passing traditions on to another family member is not easy, but is in our best interests. I think everyone is ok with change except the person that's doing the changing!! Hope you guys have a restful and wonderful holiday season.
