Fibro and Pregancy

I have a 28 month old boy and wanted to have one more. Is pregancy an option with Fibromyalgia?

Hello Jozette. I am 35 wks pregnant right now and I have had FM for about 7 yrs. now. When I first got pregnant my symptoms and flare ups from fm actually got much better. I had hardly any pain and that lasted up until about 6 months when I started to get my flare ups, but they still arent as bad as they were before. However, I have just been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and put on strict bed rest, and it may be linked to fm. But there is no way of knowing for sure bc there is so little known about both of these diseases. Anyways I would definetley not discourage anyone with fm from having children. In my opinion it is all worth it in the end. Good Luck I hope everything works out for you!

I had Pre-eclampsia while carring my twins about the 5th month. I wonder if it because I had Fibro. I never had that with my other children but I didnt have Fibro while Pg with them eihter.. Hummmm ???

Thanks for the input Judy, it helps me to know that there is hope and light down that tunnel. This Fibro has changed my quality of life.
I am looking into starting a SSRI which can be used during pregnancy too, did anyone use one during pregnancy> Zoloft seems to be the one I want to try. Any suggestions?
