Fibro and Parkinsons
3 Replies
Jan - April 26

Someone please help me. I am terrified that I have Parkinsons in addition to fibro. Lately my thumbs both feel stiff all the time. I also have constant trembling which (years ago) my dr. said was extreme anxiety. But now with the thumbs being stiff, I am worried about Parkinsons'. Please someone else tell me they have the same symptoms.

Hi Jan. It is alright to fear this disease of Fibro until you really understand it and still there will be times you will fear it because it mimics so many other conditions. The best way to tell you is to keep telling your doctors your symptoms and continue complaining to them but be ware of the many medical tests they may want you to take. Make sure you know what they are for and how it is going to help you. Ask questions and get the answers.

I have the same fear. The mayo clinic diagnosed my fibro but since then when i lay down in the afternoon i start shaking to the point that my teeth chatter. I have a lot of tremmors all the time also. Just am scared about the teeth chattering thing. It seems a little over the top to call it tremors

Some medications will cause tremors also.
