Fibro and pain

I have been reading a lot of post on this board and others and have read about the pain everyone suffers. My question is do some people have pain that hurts really bad and needs strong meds and others have pain but are able to tolerate it because their pain is not as bad? I am asking because my dr thinks I might have fibro and I do have pain in my muscles and also have joint pain but even though it hurts I am able to handle it. My worst symptom would be fatigue and my throat and ear bothering me. I am just wondering if I have something other then fibro since I don't have real bad pain. Any answers would be appreciated. Hi, there! Fibro seems to be different for everyone, and of course everyone has different situations and pain tolerances. It can also depend on the weather and stress levels.

Short answer- yes. :) I can usually handle the pain with one tramadol or sometimes even extra-strength tylenol on the normal days, but the dizziness is my worst enemy.

Probably your best bet would be to make an appointment with a rhuematologist to find out for certain one way or the other.
