Fibro and Lupus
1 Replies

I was diagnosed with fibro about 2 months ago and given amitrypteline. <---I know i didn't spell that right. But back to the the point. At my checkup 2 weeks ago my doctor diagnosed me with Lupus and Sjogrens syndrome. Problem is, since my first diagnosis, my symptoms have gotten worse. I can't go to the chiro anymore b/c I can't stand to be touched and that was working. I cannot touch my back at all. I've tried the heat packs, light exercises and every over the counter pain med. The amytrypteline doesn't do anything but make me sleep and even that doesn't always work. I've spent the last 3 days in bed but I had to come back to work. My doctor is still stalling on giving me pain meds. So...I guess i'm asking for help and suggestions to tie me over til I find a new doctor. I'm miserable and going crazy sitting at a desk 8 hours a day with this kind of pain. Thanks in advance.

Go to lymenet.org to the Seeking Doctors section and find yourself a Lyme doc. I was diagnosed "probable lupus' and had Lyme disease which was diagnosed as fibromyalgia as well.

You can get rid of this if it is Lyme- the lupus can be Babesiosis a TBD which has similar symptoms.

See a Lyme doc- seriously- I have no pain today nor for 7 years now and I was in agony.

I don't drink or do drugs and never took pain pills and it was heck.

Give a Lyme doc a chance-
best wishes,
Sarah
