Feeling cold

Heidi - January 19

So does anyone else feel cold more often with Fibromyalgia. My fingers are often freezing with a slight blue tinge on the nail.

I do feel more sensitive to the cold in general. And often have the same symptoms you describe both in my fingers and feet; and, oddly enough my face, especially my nose, which is really uncomfortable and irritating.

Yes, I am always chilly, but I am also anemic which can cause this as well. It is my nose that always feels so cold though. And I live in Florida where this really shouldn't be a problem! Often at night, when everyone is feeling perfectly comfortable with the temperatures, I am shivering and having to add blankets to the bed, only to kick them off in a sweat a few hours later.

yes, my hands are constantly cold. Dr. thinks this is in relation to tendonitis in my lower arms & wrist. I wrap my hands in a heating pad every evening trying to warm them up, and constantly rinse with warm water during the day.

Jessie, JJ and donna, do any of you have a blue tinge in your nails?

You cold have Reynauds. Ask your doctor

Heidi - January 17

Yeh I had thought of Reynauds Meg, thanks. I will see how it goes.

Went to see my doctor tonight - he said its Raynaud's Phenomenon and nothing to worry about.

JJ - January 18

No, my finger nails are not blue.

Fingernails blue? Sounds like lack of oxygen to me but other conditions could give you this.. I would see a Endocrinologist, Thyroid could be invoved, you just need to check this out with the doctor.
