Oh..I definately would say so. I think your surroundings play a big role too. I'm talking from my own experiences. With my husbands job, we have moved around a lot and I hate the area we are now living in. The house we bought has been nothing but a nightmare ie. repairs etc. All this has been working on me I can tell. When I'm away from it all on vacations I feel a whole lot better. But then when we come back to it...it starts all over again.

Yep, know what I mean, when I'm at my inlaws, I can sleep anytime and don't need anyone to coax me, and that without my sleeping pills. But my body swells up like a blow fish, and need to take duirectics and still I'm bloated.

I guess if it's peaceful then your body tunes in and when your body reacts to stress then you have pain?

My husband is a very active person and can even drive you crazy, I suspect he is Attn't Deficit Disorder big time. His mom is the same also, just by the way they carry on, you know it's that. So when hubby was gone in Afghan the house was quiet and I had no major flare up, now that my hubby is back at home, it's creating pain for me and not feeling well.

Go figure, I even asked my husband to politely tell his doctor about it, and the good doctor asked my husband "do you think you are?" my husband who would not know that he is, because he always lived with it, said no. Case closed.
