Hi... Does anyone else have severe pain after sex? I have severe hip, back & leg pain after sex & I don't know what to do. I am only 37 years old & have been married 17 years. I avoid sex due to the pain. I also have a probem with being touched. Sometimes just the lightest nudge or touch is very painful. Does anybody else have this problem? How do you deal with it? I'm way too young to give up on my sex life!! Thanks & best of luck to everyone.

Sex? what's that? chuckle chuckle. I didn't want this answer line remaining blank deanamarie8fan. Actually my man and I are not very sexually active but withhip and leg pain I understand. It was discussed in a fibro group I attended and there is pain for some after orgasim and sex with muscles etc. I'm sorry I'm at a loss of how to deal with it .

I am 37 and been married for 16 years. I don't seem to have that problem but I would suggest a pain killer pryor to sex so you and your husband don't have to suffer.

Deannamarie8fan...... I think I understand exactly what you are talking about. This has happen to me on several occasions years ago. I didn't feel the pain until right after but the pain was severe enough for me to double up. It wouldn't last for longer than 5-15 minutes but I would be moaning, that's how much it hurt. I often wondered if I had a ovarian cyst or something that finally cleared up. Like I said this was years ago (maybe in my mid 30's) and then it just stopped. I never mentioned it to a doctor so I don't no what really caused it. I hope it clears up for you soon!Take care, Brandy

I'm afraid I have all those symptoms Deanna.....
I think it is the use of the muscles that are maybe not used much otherwise....
So therefore I imagine it would be beneficial to gradually build up those muscles with maybe pelvic floor exercises, gentle sex/masturbation. I think that would help..
Also the slightest touch thing is a big problem with me, as I sometimes violently push my 9 year old daughter away from me, if she accidentally hits a spot while cuddling.....
Sometimes it is so severe we both just sit there and cry afterwards...., and I tense up when she comes near me sometimes.....
She loves her cuddles so it is very difficult for both of us.....

deannamarie8fan, Please read the caption "urinary & pelvic pain" under "fibromyalgia symptons" on this web site (fibromyalgia-sypmtons.org). It discusses these symptons. Hope you are better soon. God Bless.

I have the same thing only when I am on the bottom, hurts my back so bad i could scream. But indure it as my husband is 13 years my younger. If only for once a week I will indure just to make my husband happy. Hip and knew hurts same as yours have had FMS for over 6 years, just learn to live with it, as doctors give no hope for any relief besides drugs that make you feel like a zombie...Me would rather feel the pain and live my life. Good luck.
