Does Exercise cause GERD flair ups?

I've been diagnosed with fibro since 1995 but really didn't have major problems until 2005. Typically soreness but nothing major. In 2006 had gastritis and doctor put me on Previcid instead of telling me to eat bland for a few weeks to settle down my stomach. Now 2009 and desperately trying to get off Nexium (on this since 2007).
Yesterday I went bowling with my kids. This morning felt muscle pain in center of my back. Later on, felt like I had a knife in the center of my chest. No acid burning, but I know this is a typical attack.
I am extremely achy and I was wondering could the bowling yesterday be the cause of the GERD attack today?
I have found that I cannot do any major exercising like I use to because I will be in severe pain for several days. I'm 40 and the pain has gotten worse over the years.
I REFUSE to let the doctor put me on another prescription. I think the pharmaceutical industry is full of crooks. I would rather take something natural to help me.
I have recently started taking a digestive enzyme with my meals as well as SAMe 400 mg. The SAMe has helped me to be calmer, but has not really improved the pain.
Any advise on natural remedies that have helped YOU PERSONALLY would be greatly appreciated.
