Does FM qualify for disability - please advise.

It can but the guidelines for it are kind of nebulous. It is all subjective as FMS is not something that can be readily seen like a broken leg. You need to either hire Allsup which specializes in disability claims or get an attorney. A friend of mine went online to Allsup. She has FMS and Sjogrens. They accepted her case and filed the paperwork. They do everything for you. She got her first check in 6 months. It can, however, take years of trying in some instances. If I was considering filing, I would try Allsup first. Take care.

Thank You

I understand that if the Family Doctor support your claim than it is easier to get acceptance from your company insurance.

yes, family doctor is ok.. but to have a diagnosis by a rheumatologist is BEST.

I started with my pcp who passed me on to rhumatology who passed me on to neurology who passed me on to pain management.. whew!

BUT at least as I begin the disability filing I'll have ALL of that documentation to back me up = )

-best wishes hun

oh, and thx for the Allsup info Fantod! = )
