Diagnosis

Bridget - May 23

My nurse, health advisory service and a temporary doctor all independently thought I suffer from fibromyalgia but my current doctor does not even want to discuss the possibility and would not listen to my symptoms - as soon as I mentioned tiredness she said it is all stress related though I had the same symptoms for years now. How can I get diagnosed properly as I need to know if it is fibromyalgia? Thank you

Can you see a rheumatologist? Find one that specifically treats FMS. Some doctors don't believe in it. It is terrible being told it is stress when you hurt so badly. (But if you are only tired with no pain it is probably not FMS.) I do find that relieving stress and seriously relaxing helps improve my symptoms.
