Desyrel vs Trazadone

Well for the longest time I was on desyrel and cylbalta, I kept getting aggresive, either with being in traffic or just being very moody. If this happens to you, switch your desyrel to trazadone it just does not react the same way. Go figure.

I've switched to trazadone and feel I don't have that blunt headache when I wake up and my mood has helped me considerably.

At one point I had also stop taking cymbalta but had to return to it, because quite simply my moods make it impossible to be around me and also the pain kept getting in the way.

So I'm on cymbalta 30mg for the day and I only take my trazadone to sleep. It takes a little longer for me to fall asleep but at least when I wake up in the morning I don't have that kick back blunt headach I used to have and my aggressiveness has almost gone.

Anyone else have that problem

I know that amphetamine withdrawal made me very aggressive short tempered, but I never had that effect from either Cymbalta nor Trazodone.

My doses of Cymbalta were 60mg and Trazodone 50-100mg.

Hi Noca

Well now I'm on Cymbalta 30mg, and Trazadone 50mg works well for me, for now. I don't know how long, I guess it depends on the weather......

Sometimes I forget to take my Cymbalta and I can do one day without it, but my Trazadone if I don't take it, I won't sleep.

My mind just goes in circle and I can't seem to be able to get off the merry go around, if I go to sleep without hubby besides me I'm fine, I can actually sleep sometimes, but if anything he's the one who will toss or turn and that in turn will wake me up and then voila can't sleep even if you told me you'd give me a million dollars.

Oh the joy of having fibro......

The 4 main reasons why people cannot sleep is: snoring, anxiety, pain, or medications.

Hi, everyone

Well I love my Trazadone, like you I also use it just to sleep at night. It does not give me the side effects as the other medications I've tried. I have tried to skip a dose and WOW....here I go again with the sleepless nights which in turn leave me drained and in more pain the next day.

I feel your pain.
