I have been taking these for 10 yrs, now I have 12 left and what is going to happen to my body in the next week or more. I cannot take any other pain meds but mostly I am praying to God to help me stop these pils with NO withdrawel symptoms. I also take prozac and a tranquilizer. I called my Reum. this morning and still no reply but I don't want to go to rehab, they are worse sometimes. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME, AM SCARED and my husband is no support at all

jrzgirl1,

Are you absolutely SURE that there is no other pain med that you can take? I'm hoping that you won't have any withdrawal symptoms but most narcotics, when you just abruptly stop taking them have some withdrawal effects. You said that you have 12 pills left- is there anyway to wean yourself off of them? How many do you take a day? Could you start by taking 1 for a few days then go down to a half of a pill? I hope that your rheumy will have some suggestions for you. I'm sorry that you're in this predicament-try not to stress about it, I'm sure that your dr will try to figure something out.

That's too bad that your husband isn't supportive! It's not like you're a druggie or anything! You have an illness that causes pain and you take them for relief.

Hang in there and try not to worry (although I know that's easier said than done!)

Pam

I stopped altogether, my last pill was at 7:00pm Monday, I am depending on God to take this from me, so far no problems, he is using me for a reason, today is the 4 th day with nothing but tylenol, I am in alot of pain and sleep is not good but that is it. I give God all the glory for what he is doing in my life.
