Hi,I've only been to my pcp who suspects I have fibro. I have a lot of the symptoms. One question I have is. Well this would be for women. Does anyone experience cramps? (like having a bad period.) I have them all the time. The only problem is I had a hysterectomy 3 yrs. ago. I don't have periods any more.

I would guess that the cramps may be relates to IBS which is one of the *perks* associated with fibromyalgia. If your PCP suspects fibromyalgia (FMS) than you need to see a rheumotologist. Go the National Fibromyalgia Association website and ask them for a referral to a fibro-friendly rheumy in your area. There is a lot of good information about FMS on the lefthand side of this page. Take some time to read it so you have a good understanding what FMS is all about. Take care.

Yes,Donna I to feel like im on my period most of the time. Its part of fibro symptoms, and its not pleasant. You could also have restless leg syndrome. I have that. I would recommend a good rheumologist so you can get a proper diagnosis, and once you know for sure it will be easier to treat. I hope that helped and good luck to you.

Thank you for your comments. After the holidays I plan to see a rheumotologist. I was just trying to find out if the two things are associated with each other. It's unreal how many symptoms there are!(And how many I have.)But I want to know for sure.I've been dealing with this for yrs. But it seems to be getting worse.Until recently I have never heard of fibro.I live in Michigan and the cold isn't helping.Anyway Thanks again.

Happy Holidays
Donna
