Could I have fibromyalgia
3 Replies

Hello,
I've been suffering with symptoms for what has been almost 3 months now. It started after a rollercoaster ride. Is it possible that it triggered fibromyalgia? It was a fast ride it went like 128 mph & I've had chronic headaches, neckpains,& a few other symptoms nonstop eversince. I've had x-rays & mri's & everything done & it has all come back fine. I'm losing my mind. I'm in so much pain I cry but I seem perfectly healthy to everyone else.

it could be, ask to see a specialist. fibro can be sparked by a "trauma" if the rollercoaster ride was traumatic for you it could be equivalent to a car wreck for others. you aren't going crazy. we have all felt that way. its scary, but you will get answers & feel better. take care of yourself :)

SOMATIZATION DISORDER: the patient has symptoms rather than fear of a particular illness. stress, depression and anxiety converted into physical symptoms that have little or no organic basis. however these symptoms are real and not imagined. this can last for many years and come in many forms and rarely disappear completely without psychotherapy.
