Hi,
I have never even heard of this condition. if you go to www.webmd.com it may give you more information. this is a very good resource for any medical condtion. Hope this helps

Costochondritis is a type of pain in the ribcage. People with or without fibro can get this so it's not caused BY the fibro but I'm sure it aggravates it!

I get this and am told the cause is unknown. It is painful and uncomfortable. Not sure if its from the fibro, I always get it on the left side only??

I saw that you were having the same problem as me. I am trying to find my own diag. after feeble attempts with Dr's. Have you had any other problems besides the pain in the chest? The Dr. finally gave me Vicodine to deal with the pain. I feel for you but am right there with you. If you want someone to chat with my e-mail address is [email protected] Take care!

Heat and anti-inflammatories help to relieve the pain and inflammation. I feel for you - I get this every few weeks. My rheumy says it is common with FMS. Take care.
