My wife was recently diagnosed by her Dr.with this condition. Symptons are , breathing problems, severe chest pain and numbness. What is coscochondritis? Is it related to Fibromyalgia?

its the swelling of the muscles between the ribs certain ribs maybe be more tender to touch then others it is sooo very painful...nobody knows why it flares up!!!
I have had this for the past 6 weeks and has made me very ill ending up in hospital 3 times with breathing difficulties but there is nothing they can do........your wife will just have to ride it through im afraid...it will start to ease off eventually but i know how she feels its very frightening...it has left me very weak and fragile make sure she keeps here food intake up and plenty of fluids...if she is not eating get some build up drinks from the chemist they are like milk shakes.
If you can repeated massage can help it helped me, plenty of rest and warm baths helped me too.
But please "ask jeeves" about this there is loads of information out there for u to access about this.Or got to the libuary read up on it.

good luck and just reasurre your wife that it will start to ease off after awhile plenty of love and cuddles should keep her right.
