What type of doctor is best equipped to treat Fibromyalgia? Rheumatologist? Family Doctor?

Yeah, my own gp was of little use. WHen the physio said it looked like fibro she said to me "what is its wrong with u again?" and she wrote completely the wrong thing on my referral letter/. the rheumy listened to me and made me feel sane - at the same time basically told me fibro was all in the mind. BUt at least he diagnosed me. i paid to go private (im in northern ireland) and i would highly recommend if thats an option - u get so much better treatment (well i did) . gd lk.

Physiatrists (Fi-zi-a-trist) and Rheumatoid Arthritis doctors are both good canidates.
