My doctor recommended COQ10. Has anyone taken it and if so did they benefit from it? Did anyone experience side effects?

Doctor says this should help with pain.

Hi. I've taken it every day for about 2 years - I take the more potent form which is called Ubiquinol. I use Jarrow Formula. I can tell I have more energy when I take it. And, I can tell if I don't take it, I don't feel as well.

So far for me, no side effects noted.

Good luck with it!

PS I've been reading about mycoplasma infections which are correlated with illnesses like fibro and chronic fatigue. Some think mycoplasma hijacks the glucose from your mitochondria, which is why we are so low in energy!

I can not take CoQ10 at all. I've tried several formulations (including Jarrow) and they all upset my stomach very badly. Wish I could - heard a lot of good things about it.

CoQ10 is fat soluable so should be taken with a meal containing fat for better absorption. It is ideal if you can take with Omega 3 fish oil.
