I was just wondering if diverticulitis is common
among fibro sufferers. I was in the hospital for four days and I have to tell you it is very painful. You feel like your stomach is being twisted right in half. I was NPO for three days with iv fluids nad antibiotics. I couldn't drink anything or digest aything until they got it under control. Any ideas?

Hi Karen. The answer to your question is no. Diverticulitis is an inflamation in one or more pouches in the colon of the large intestine. It can be very painful and you can run fever but I'm sure your doctor has explained all this to you. I do not know what the prognosis would be for you. Don't be afraid to question your doctor for future reference of this condition. Hope you feel better.
