Chest Wall Pain and Tenderness

I have it daily. Not even the strong drugs I take touch it. I'm very concientous but sometimes have to rip off my seatbelt when driving...Also have taken to only wearing a sports bra which limits what clothing I can wear. If I know I'll be home for a while, I will use Ben Gay or aspercreme and that lends a little more relief. Just know you are not alone!

Hello _ I have a problem with chest pain and tenderness. Some days the thought of wearing a bra is more than I can stand. Since I need an underwire this is not an option unless I am staying home for the day. I find a good sports bra allieviates some of the discomfort and pressure caused by a regular bra. My symptoms come and go. It can be quite painful and has to be experienced to be believed. Have you considered using a sports creme with no smell to help with your discomfort? I like Myoflex. I hope my comments are of some help.

those links to the trigger point site are really great for explaining referred pain. I suffer from the pain aspect of things (myofascial) from knots and tirgger points more than anything else. I don't get any fibro fog etc... just anxiety and pain.... fun, fun, fun!

I forgot to mention that a homeopathic remedy called Arnica comes in pills or a gel. It is excellent for bruising or muscular ache. BioFreeze is another pain relieving gel that works pretty well. If you really can't stand it Lidoderm Lidocaine patches can be used in the areas that bother you the most.
