"There are four "routes" to Fibro. Viral, Trauma, Abuse or Rear End Car Accident." that's funny.... you need to read FREEDOM FROM FIBROMYALGIA by N.Selfridge & find out what's REALLY going on with your body/mind.

Hmm...I haven't experienced any of those that you mentioned, Anne H.

Mine was noticed while Pg with twins at age 40. But got real bad after a Car accident. I think its the food we eat "Diet" who knows..

I got fibro soon after a placental abruption with my daughter. .But had many strange muscular symptoms earlier following a car accident that sent me through the windhield.. My mothers symptoms increased after an accident falling down the stairs.. A friends mother started to flare up after drug therapy from an illness.. I think there are many causes.. but none that are too specific..

I believe hormones play a big part as well, which explains why this condition is predominantly a female affliction. I've had hormone and menstruation problems since I was 13, suffered severe PMS and endometriosis since my early 20's. Luckily, I've had a complete hysterectomy, but because I can't take HRT, I am constantly on a hormonal rollercoaster and my fibro condition seems to be worsening. Just a theory.

Hi:Linda I'm sorry to hear of your suffering. We have somthing in common.I started menstruating at the age of 12.My periods were always very, very painful and ive had pms from hell.I developed endometriosis and have had surgery for it many times. But with no luck,it just kept getting worse.I developed fibromyalgia 4 years ago after a serious accident.I wonder if any one else has endo out here.I hope you feel better soon.Yours Truly Debra.
