Cancer and Fibo

Hi All. Since a recent visit to my Rheumatologist, I have been doing more studying about Fibro, and came across a startling statistic. In a document titled "FMS Fact Sheet" from the Fibromyalgia Network, it states that, "... Preliminary findings indicate that the cancer risk is doubled in people with FMS." This statistic is attributed to GJ McFarlane et al. in a study about Widespread body pain and mortality. Has anyone else heard this statistic? It's a little terrifying to me (sorry to be a negative nelly, but I wanted to talk to SOMEONE about it, and I don't want to scare my husband!).

What if you were not at risk for cancer befre you ahd fibromyalgia? does it say what you chances would be than? scary idea but if you think about it everything will double your chances of cancer.
