Can fibromyalgia be fully cured?
rrqr - April 22

I am in the armed forces and have been diagnose with myofacial pain syndrome. Sufice to say, I am in pain and so far its been 2 years since I started suffering from it. I am not going to get into details about my case right now but I like to hear, CAN IT BE CURED OR WILL I SUFFER FROM THIS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE?

Not sure about cured since there is not certainty about the cause, but symptoms can be relieved.

The unfortunate part of this whole issue is that there is no cure. Many of us have been suffering with fibro for a great many years and "you learn how to cope". You find things that make your life a little easier and experiment with medications that relieve some of the pain associated with fibro. The long and short of it is that there is so little know about fibro and it's causes that it can not be cured until they find the root of the problem. It's a long road ahead and once you go through the grieving process it will become more acceptable. Take care
