calf pain

sue - July 24

i read several entries about bad calf pain. i've been fighting fms for about 6yrs and it seems to get worse every year. recently my legs have begun to feel like my calf muscles are too short. stretching helps but only for a short time. i've seen chiropractor cause i thought maybe it was a back problem. doesnt seem to be helping. is this really fms or should i check for something else?

You could have restless leg syndrome. I have it and take requip. I finally feel normal calves and the medicine helps with FMS pain too. If it isn't Restless Leg you can also try a magnesium supplement. It helps with cramping. I also take one daily.

I also have calf pain - cramping like a charley horse. Mine is separate from the twitching that I get with a flare up. Feels like I've walked for miles!

Very likely FMS. For the 6 months I was full-blown, my hands turned toward my wrists. Straightened out when I took the decongestant for the first time. Legs felt the same way. Muscles were just starved.
