does fibromyalgia cause you to have burning sensations like a sun burn around ankles, shins, arms.

Hi Debbie. Yes, I think it does. I also experience burning sensations throughout my body at times and I think it is caused by both fms and cmp.

I get that but its from vasculitis...I guess everyone is different...might want to check with your doctor though...could be a reaction to something as well...

Debbie: Yes. That is how mine started out with burning. This goes and comes and has gotten much better than the onset of it when I was diagnosed 9 yrs. ago. Praying for you.

It sure does. Two night's ago I had so much burning on the inside of my right knee I had to sleep or try to sleep with an ice pack on it. It was burning so much the ice pack got cold within an hour. Also my arms will burn like they were on fire. Many trips to emergency before I heard about FM and was diagnoised. They would keep me in the hospital and run every test my insurance would pay for and would tell me that possibly I had an iscimic stroke.
