does anyone's bones hurt like you have flu symtoms?

Amyloo - September 6

When I was first diagnosed my bones ached so bad I thought I must have some horrid bone cancer. It is a deep, radiating pain, doesn't feel muscular to me. I even had a bone scan, and asked the radiologist if he ever had people with fibro that felt this way and he said "oh yes." To me it doesn't feel like I over excersised or pulled muscles, it feels like someone took my bones out, beat them with a baseball bat and then put them back and said "ok, go live your life now." Yuk.

Yes. Flu like symptoms are a common symptom of fibromyalgia, including the achy all over feeling you get with the flu. sometimes my throat will even feel a little sore, so that i am sure I am coming down with something, then the next day I will be over it.

Thank you for your replies, I thought I had bone cancer and my doctor just wouldn't tell me. I've been looking for someone with FMS to aks them but couldn't find anyone and I felt so stupid. I was tickled to death to find this web site.

Dalejr62...all the time. That's exactly how I describe my pain except for the term, "I fell like I got hit with a Mack truck!".
