Blue/Lilac Nail-beds?

Recently, my nail-beds turned blue/purple, and persisted even after i got rid of the numbness (although my hands were still chilly). Is this a normal fibro symptom?

This is caused by an associated condition called Raynauds. You will find some information on it under "Associated Conditions" on the lefthand side of this page. You should read up on it and make an appointment to see your rheumotologist.
Take care.

I, too, have Raynaud's along with my fibro, and never knew the purplish nail beds were a part of it. (My hands tend to get a mottled pattern.) One of the most important things is to keep your hands warm, especially if you live in a cold climate. It really helps me to wear gloves even when just quickly warming up my car before going to work. Also, I have to be careful when warming them back up to do so gradually, because they can ache if it's too fast. Stay out of drafts if you can, and best of luck!

I've suspected Reynaud's for a while now, and have taken to wearing gloves recently because of it. Makes getting things out the fridge and freezer a right pain! Nice to know i'm not going completely crazy though. Thanks :)
